On October 7th, the Fair Fashion Weeks of Haarlem officially kicked off with such a lovely opening at Kunst Centrum Haarlem.
It was amazing to see all the sustainable creatives and partners come together to celebrate these inspiring weeks of conscious fashion!
In the weeks leading up to it, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by the lovely Nina van Hilst and a few pieces got published.

I’m thrilled to announce that TAY AMSTERDAM will be participating in the Week of the Circular Economy and is partnering up with the gemeente Haarlem. I’ll be hosting hands-on-workshops from Monday March 17th to Saterday 22th of March.
Join me at the Circular Edition of the Love for the Locals at Seinwezen in Haarlem on the 23th of March. Where you can see and feel the creations and I’ll also be hosting a workshop.

Hi welcome, I’m Geneviève, the founder, designer and leather artisisan behind TAY Amsterdam. At TAY Amsterdam I make luxerious, customizable and sustainable bags and accessiores, these are made out of high end surplus leather.
So I don’t get my leather produced, I use/reuse leather which would been thrown away not because it’s not perfect quality, just because it’s not the trend color anymore or there was overproduction.
I focus on craftmanship, making, fun and timeless pieces, to make it uniquely yours and guaranteed to spark conversations. I don’t follow trends or participate in Black Friday sales, don’t offer discounts (unless you are a very very nice and special person;p) and I don’t have any stock.
Leather is an amazing product that can be fixed, compared for instance to vegan leather, so I also do reparations/give new life to bags that are not my own. The clients can also bring their own leather for example from their sofa or their dads favorite jacket.
